Conference Goals
The Illinois Student Sexual Misconduct Conference has two main goals. On one end it seeks to create the optimal environment and opportunity for students involved in combatting sexual misconduct on their campuses to come together and share best practices with one another, while continuing to learn more about this topic from peers, professionals, and panelists. On the other hand, this conference will serve as an opportunity to open up a direct line of communication between Illinois college students and Illinois government officials. With an open letter to be drafted and published through this conference, student views and needs will be openly discussed, and details about the nature of state law will be made clear. In sum, this conference provides an unprecedented opportunity for young Illinoisans to take charge of change on a truly important issue.
Malay Trivedi, UChicago '21, is the organizer of this conference. With any questions or concerns, please reach out to him via the contact tab on this webpage.
